I-85 Corridor System Flow Improvements
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the I-85 Corridor System Flow Improvements will be received, by the POWDERSVILLE WATER, at the office 1719 Circle Road, Powdersville, SC 29642, until 1:00 PM local time on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes work in two separate but related areas, which will close the loop between existing 8-inch and 12-inch waterline stub-outs. The first portion of the project consists of the installation of approximately 2,571 linear feet of 12-inch DIP waterline, along with related fittings, hydrants, system connections, asphalt repairs, erosion control, grassing, restoration, and other appurtenances. The first portion of the project also includes the installation of 454 linear feet of 24-inch steel casing under I-85 in the interchange with Highway 86 utilizing jack and bore methodology. The second portion of the project consists of the installation of approximately 4,311 linear feet of 8-inch DIP waterline, along with related fittings, hydrants, system connections, asphalt repairs, erosion control, grassing, restoration, and other appurtenances.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: CDM Smith, Inc., 1441 Main Street Suite 1000, Columbia, SC 29201, (803) 758-4500, Richard Culler, cullerre@cdmsmith.com. Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at Powdersville Water office located at 1719 Circle Road, Powdersville, SC 29642, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Copies of the digital Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office at no cost. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Bidder is solely responsible for verifying the most recent version of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, have been downloaded if electronic access has been purchased. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 AM local time on March 29, 2023 at the offices of Powdersville Water at 1719 Circle Road, Powdersville, SC 29642. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. All questions must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, April 13, 2023 via email to Richard Culler at cullerre@cdmsmith.com.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
