ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Three Bridges and Cely Road Transmission Main will be received, by Powdersville Water District, at the office of 1719 Circle Rd, Easley, SC 29642, until 2:00 pm local time on May 19, 2022 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. A member from each bidder may be present at the bid opening. The Project consists of construction of approximately 10,120 linear feet of 20-inch ductile iron pipe along 3 Bridges Road and approximately 10,740 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe along Von Hollen Road and Cely Road. The project includes bore and jack road crossings with casing pipe, air release valves, fire hydrants, erosion control, and other associated appurtenances.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.

This project is being funded by a loan from SRF and funds from the RIA. Bidders must comply with all applicable state and federal requirements identified in the bid documents, including Davis-Bacon and American Iron and Steel provisions. Bidders must provide a 5% bid bond.

Bidding Documents will be available after April 4, 2022. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Bidder is solely responsible for verifying the most recent version of Bidding Documents, including any addenda.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held virtually on April 18, 2022 at 2:30 pm. Dial in information will be provided with plan sets.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

All contractors and subcontractors must be registered in SAM (System for Award Management).

This project will be partially funded with funds from the State Revolving Fund (SRF) and therefore is subject to Federal and State laws and regulations associated with that program.
